Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis has raised concerns over allegations that the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) destroyed crucial documents related to Operation Chokepoint 2.0 (OCP2.0) and withheld materials tied to the controversial anti-crypto initiative. In a letter dated January 16, Senator Lummis urged FDIC Chair Marty Gruenberg to take immediate action to preserve all documents associated with OCP 2.0. Operation Chokepoint 2.0 is a contentious initiative aimed at limiting crypto-related businesses' access to traditional banking services, seen as a continuation of the original Operation Chokepoint, which targeted high-risk industries during the Obama administration.
